Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A Wooded River Landscape With Classical Ruins, A Drover With Cattle And Figures Playing Music In The Foreground by Robert Carver. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,151.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Carver have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Classical Landscape with Ruins and Figures in the Foreground in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 317,858.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With Classical Ruins, A Drover With Cattle And Figures Playing Music In The Foreground von Robert Carver zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.151,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Carver auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Classical Landscape with Ruins and Figures in the Foreground im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 317.858,62).
