Despite a disappointment, a good price for Robert Brough
In August 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Young Girl by Robert Brough for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,781.01). This price was achieved in the auction Gleneagles Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Portrait Of A Young Girl is the most expensive artwork by Robert Brough that we have observed at auction so far.
