Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,135.25 (€ 1,777.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bowyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Officer, In Scarlet Coat With Yellow Facings, Silver Epaulette, Frilled White Cravat And Black Stock, Powdered Hair En Queue, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,561.48).
