Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Breton Peasants; Woman With Cows, Brittany by Robert Bevan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,187.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Bevan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hansom Cab in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 531,000.00 (€ 623,523.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Breton Peasants; Woman With Cows, Brittany von Robert Bevan im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.187,25) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Bevan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hansom Cab im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 531.000,00 (€ 623.523,82).
