In March 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction NOW!, which included the work Untitled, against-not always-important-joint by Robert Barry. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,450.00 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Barry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bright Green Wallpiece With Silver Words in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,839.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion NOW! durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, against-not always-important-joint von Robert Barry zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.450,00 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Barry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bright Green Wallpiece With Silver Words im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.839,43).
