Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work The Children'S Museum by Ricky Swallow. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 23,500.00 (€ 13,642.41), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ricky Swallow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rehearsal For Retirement, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,587.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Children'S Museum von Ricky Swallow zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 23.500,00 (€ 13.642,41) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ricky Swallow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rehearsal For Retirement beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.587,20) versteigert wurde.
