Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Forgotten Foundation by Ricky Swallow. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 2,031.50 (€ 1,186.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ricky Swallow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rehearsal For Retirement in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,587.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forgotten Foundation von Ricky Swallow zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 2.031,50 (€ 1.186,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ricky Swallow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rehearsal For Retirement im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.587,20).
