This artwork by Richard Winkler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Small Reclining Figure sold for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,031.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Winkler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monkeys of red paddies in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 31,166.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Winkler erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Small Reclining Figure für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.031,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Winkler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monkeys of red paddies im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 31.166,63).
