A top price for Richard Nicolaas Roland Holst - as previously expected
In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Cows in a field by Richard Nicolaas Roland Holst. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,640.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cows in a field is the most expensive artwork by Richard Nicolaas Roland Holst that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows in a field von Richard Nicolaas Roland Holst zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.640,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cows in a field das teuerste Kunstwerk von Richard Nicolaas Roland Holst, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
