Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Buddy Bolden by Richard Marshall Merkin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 828.75 (€ 777.88). Other works by Richard Marshall Merkin have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,020.00 (€ 938.19) in March this year for the work Gladys and Half-Pint 37 1/2 x 72 in. Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buddy Bolden von Richard Marshall Merkin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 828,75 (€ 777,88) einen neuen Besitzer.
