In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work Two Springer Spaniels In A Rocky Landscape by Richard Livesay. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,233.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Springer Spaniels In A Rocky Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Richard Livesay that we have observed at auctions so far.
