Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Zommer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2020. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Street Traders In Samarkand sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,053.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Zommer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gate of Kashmir, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 95,650.00 (€ 109,832.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Zommer erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Street Traders In Samarkand für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.053,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Zommer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gate of Kashmir beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 95.650,00 (€ 109.832,77) versteigert wurde.
