This artwork by Richard Zommer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2020. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work A Shaded Archway And Mosque In Turkestan (A Pair) sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,053.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Zommer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gate of Kashmir, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 95,650.00 (€ 109,832.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Zommer erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit A Shaded Archway And Mosque In Turkestan (A Pair) für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.053,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Zommer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gate of Kashmir beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 95.650,00 (€ 109.832,77) versteigert wurde.
