Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lausanne by Richard Henry Wright was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in March 2002. It changed hands for a price of GBP 493.50 (€ 806.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Henry Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive view of London observed from Tower Bridge looking towards St. Paul's Cathedral in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,078.17).
