Despite a disappointment, a good price for Richard Gere
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Arms with Mala; and Khyongla Rato Rinpoche, Drepung Monastery, Tibet by Richard Gere for USD 612.00 (€ 540.73). This price was achieved in the auction The Gift of Photographs at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Arms with Mala; and Khyongla Rato Rinpoche, Drepung Monastery, Tibet is the most expensive artwork by Richard Gere that we have observed at auction so far.
