Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sapling Forest with Burnt Trunk, 2003 by Richard Dunlop was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in April 2021. The price achieved of AUD 7,380.00 (€ 6,134.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Dunlop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Climber #1 and Climber #2, 2003 20.0 x 180.0cm (7 7/8 x 70 7/8in). (each) (2), which sold at auction in April 2021 for AUD 15,990.00 (€ 13,291.77).
