Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work The Gardener by Richard Dadd. The price achieved of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,317.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Richard Dadd have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Puck was auctioned for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 378,742.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gardener von Richard Dadd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 344.317,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Dadd konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2008 die Arbeit Puck für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 378.742,79) versteigert.
