Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Freshwater Bay Arch and Stag Rocks, Isle of Wight by Richard Brydges Beechey was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,939.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Brydges Beechey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Part Of Dublin Bay, From The Rocks Between Salthill And Seapoint Stations in May 2010 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,673.38).
