Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A kingfisher on a branch (illustrated); and A hovering kingfisher by Richard Barrett Talbot Kelly. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 571.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Barrett Talbot Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eider In Flight in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,363.57).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A kingfisher on a branch (illustrated); and A hovering kingfisher von Richard Barrett Talbot Kelly zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 571,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Barrett Talbot Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eider In Flight im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.363,57).
