In April 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work View Of King'S College, Cambridge; And View Of The Provost'S Lodge, King'S College, Cambridge by Richard Bankes Harraden. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,587.23), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Bankes Harraden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bay Of Naples With The Castel Dell'Ovo, The Vesuvius Beyond, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,947.22).
