Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction Arte del XX secolo, which included the work Omaggio a Velasquez by Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of ITL 3,500,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of ITL 3,525,000.00 (€ 3,023.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2001 the work Scene con minotauro was auctioned for ITL 3,430,000.00 (€ 3,245.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Arte del XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Omaggio a Velasquez von Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von ITL 3.500.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von ITL 3.525.000,00 (€ 3.023,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2001 die Arbeit Scene con minotauro für ITL 3.430.000,00 (€ 3.245,42) versteigert.
