This artwork by Reza Mafi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2008. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 217,000.00 (€ 139,388.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Reza Mafi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2010 with the realized price of USD 200,500.00 (€ 144,306.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Reza Mafi erzielte im April 2008 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 217.000,00 (€ 139.388,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Reza Mafi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 200.500,00 (€ 144.306,90).
