In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Marine Sale, which included the work A Naval Schooner In Two Positions by Reuben Chappell. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,564.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Naval Schooner In Two Positions is the most expensive artwork by Reuben Chappell that we have observed at auctions so far.
