Sold at the upper estimate price
The work La promenade by René Princeteau was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2019. The auction ended at the price of EUR 20,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Princeteau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Steeple-Chase, which sold at auction in March last year for EUR 56,700.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit La promenade von René Princeteau kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 20.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von René Princeteau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Steeple-Chase beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für EUR 56.700,00 versteigert wurde.
