Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art, which included the work Paisaje de La Habana 18 1/16 x 14 in (45.8 x 35.6 cm) by René Portocarrero. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,125.00 (€ 18,039.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Portocarrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana 18 1/16 x 14 in (45.8 x 35.6 cm) von René Portocarrero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.125,00 (€ 18.039,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Portocarrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
