The work Mujer by René Portocarrero was sold in the Modern Art Online auction at Bonhams in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 38,175.00 (€ 35,113.13), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by René Portocarrero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mujer von René Portocarrero wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 38.175,00 (€ 35.113,13) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von René Portocarrero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
