Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Flores by René Portocarrero was worth EUR 22,000.00 to a buyer in May last year. This price was achieved in the auction Arte moderna e contemporanea at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Portocarrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).

Die Arbeit Flores von René Portocarrero war einem Käufer im Mai letzten Jahres EUR 22.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea bei Il Ponte erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Portocarrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
