Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with asparagus and stawberries by René Louis Chrétien. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 9,361.60 (€ 4,115.02), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Louis Chrétien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature morte au raisin, which sold at auction in May this year for EUR 10,837.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with asparagus and stawberries von René Louis Chrétien zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 9.361,60 (€ 4.115,02) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von René Louis Chrétien mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nature morte au raisin beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für EUR 10.837,50 versteigert wurde.
