Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by René Laubies achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Unknown sold for EUR 4,709.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by René Laubies; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans Titre - 1980 sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of EUR 8,450.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von René Laubies erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Unknown für EUR 4.709,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von René Laubies; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1980 im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 8.450,00.
