Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birds Of Steel - 12 by Reena Saini Kallat was sold in the Indian Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,130.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reena Saini Kallat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 61,000.00 (€ 39,203.08).

Die Arbeit Birds Of Steel - 12 von Reena Saini Kallat wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Indian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.130,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Reena Saini Kallat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 61.000,00 (€ 39.203,08) versteigert wurde.
