In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work White Hollyhocks And Polar Ice Gladiolas changed hands for USD 194,500.00 (€ 139,737.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rebecca Salsbury James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fire and Air, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 509,000.00 (€ 457,117.20).
