Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Raymond Coxon was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in September 2008. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,185.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Raymond Coxon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Shipwrecked; with a pencil sketch for the work was auctioned for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,125.89).
