Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Navajo figure before a valley landscape by Ray Roberts for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,241.53). This price was achieved in the auction Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Roberts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work California Idyll, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,623.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Navajo figure before a valley landscape von Ray Roberts für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.241,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ray Roberts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit California Idyll beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.623,69) versteigert wurde.
