Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Mumbai held the auction Boundless: India, which included the work Untitled; Untitled by Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman. The price achieved of INR 250,000.00 (€ 3,153.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Man Lying In The Verandah); Untitled (The Parsi Girl) , which sold at auction in November 2018 for INR 687,500.00 (€ 8,682.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Mumbai die Auktion Boundless: India durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled; Untitled von Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von INR 250.000,00 (€ 3.153,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit INR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Man Lying In The Verandah); Untitled (The Parsi Girl) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für INR 687.500,00 (€ 8.682,55) versteigert wurde.
