Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled; On The Way To Border by Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman was sold in the Boundless: India auction at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2019. The price achieved of INR 250,000.00 (€ 3,153.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Man Lying In The Verandah); Untitled (The Parsi Girl) , which sold at auction in November 2018 for INR 687,500.00 (€ 8,682.55).
