This artwork by Ramon Orlina achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Michael's martial arts form 07-1 sold for HKD 86,400.00 (€ 8,227.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ramon Orlina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Michael's martial art form 07-2 sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 13,711.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ramon Orlina erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Michael's martial arts form 07-1 für HKD 86.400,00 (€ 8.227,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ramon Orlina; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Michael's martial art form 07-2 im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 13.711,74).
