A top price for Rama Mukherji - as previously expected
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Rama Mukherji. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,884.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Rama Mukherji that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rama Mukherji zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.884,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rama Mukherji, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
