This artwork by Rama Mukherji achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2020. In the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection auction, the work Untitled (Buddha with Ambapali) sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,667.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rama Mukherji - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,884.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rama Mukherji erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Buddha with Ambapali) für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.667,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rama Mukherji mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.884,16) versteigert wurde.
