Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures, which included the work Uncle Toby And The Dicky Bird Society by Ralph Hedley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ralph Hedley have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,246.97) in March 2007 for the work Uncle Toby And The Dicky Bird Society.
