Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Approaching clouds by Ralph Hedley. The price achieved of GBP 117.50 (€ 171.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Hedley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Uncle Toby And The Dicky Bird Society in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,246.97).

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Approaching clouds von Ralph Hedley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 117,50 (€ 171,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Hedley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Uncle Toby And The Dicky Bird Society im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.246,97).
