A top price for Raghubir Singh - as previously expected
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Two Women Collecting Lotus Leaves For Cattle Fodder, Dal Lake, Kashmir, India by Raghubir Singh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,219.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Women Collecting Lotus Leaves For Cattle Fodder, Dal Lake, Kashmir, India is the most expensive artwork by Raghubir Singh that we have observed at auctions so far.
