A top price for Raghubir Singh - as previously expected
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Rainbow, Dal Lake, Kashmir by Raghubir Singh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,219.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rainbow, Dal Lake, Kashmir is the most expensive artwork by Raghubir Singh that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rainbow, Dal Lake, Kashmir von Raghubir Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.219,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Rainbow, Dal Lake, Kashmir das teuerste Kunstwerk von Raghubir Singh, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
