Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work The Knitting Shepherdess by Raffaello Sorbi. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,448.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raffaello Sorbi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian saltarello Cavallucio (A Game Of Leapfrog) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Knitting Shepherdess von Raffaello Sorbi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.448,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raffaello Sorbi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian saltarello Cavallucio (A Game Of Leapfrog) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.960,80).
