Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction European Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Laughing Girl 41 5/8 x 51 1/8 in. (105.5 x 130.0 cm) framed 42 1/2 x 52 x 1 1/4 in. by Raffaello Sorbi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,968.27), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raffaello Sorbi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian saltarello Cavallucio (A Game Of Leapfrog) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion European Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Laughing Girl 41 5/8 x 51 1/8 in. (105.5 x 130.0 cm) framed 42 1/2 x 52 x 1 1/4 in. von Raffaello Sorbi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.968,27) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raffaello Sorbi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian saltarello Cavallucio (A Game Of Leapfrog) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.960,80).
