Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250,000.00 (€ 3,000,369.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raffael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head Of A Young Apostle in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 29,721,250.00 (€ 36,654,555.40).

Die Arbeit Profile Portrait Of Valerio Belli, Bust Length, Facing Left von Raffael wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250.000,00 (€ 3.000.369,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raffael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head Of A Young Apostle im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.721.250,00 (€ 36.654.555,40).
