This artwork by Rafael Soriano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2020. In the Latin American Art Online auction, the work Contraste sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,201.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rafael Soriano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fuente Cálida, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 81,900.00 (€ 72,561.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rafael Soriano erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Contraste für USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.201,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rafael Soriano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fuente Cálida beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 81.900,00 (€ 72.561,35) versteigert wurde.
