In the L'âge d'or du rail - Souvenirs de la Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-lits auction, the work Méditerranée-Express, Trains De Luxe sold for EUR 1,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 600.00. Admittedly, works by Rafael de Ochoa y Madrazo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Carta (The Letter) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 14,002.59).
