It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,942.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Admittedly, works by Que Lan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maggies And Pine Trees in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 352,500.00 (€ 38,290.64).

Die Arbeit Magpies And Badgers von Que Lan kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.942,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Que Lan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maggies And Pine Trees im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 352.500,00 (€ 38.290,64).
