A top price for Quac Insik - as previously expected
The work Work 63 by Quac Insik was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 119,706.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Work 63 is the most expensive artwork by Quac Insik that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Work 63 von Quac Insik wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 119.706,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Work 63 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Quac Insik, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
