Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Wu by Qu Leilei for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,310.99). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Qu Leilei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,625.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wu von Qu Leilei für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.310,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qu Leilei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.625,81).
